Hi,
I know recently we had a long thread on the aching hands. Mine have been pretty bad lately and I wanted to let you know that someone on the JRA forum I go to for Oscar mentioned something called "Hot Hands". They are small packets that you shake and they heat up. Hunters use them in the winter and you can get them at the sporting good store. Not to advertise here on the board, but I am going to try them and I'll let you know how it goes. They say they are so great because you can keep them with you and they're ready to use at an instant.
I'm gonna get me summa dose
I'll let you know how it goes
Pam Hey Pam, that's a great idea. I have raynauds and during the winter months it would be great to have those in my mitts when I have to go out. Thanks! Kelly cristine, Someone else on that thread I was talking about posted about something called "Therma Care Wraps" she uses them for knee, ankles, elbows and wrists. I'm going to check into those too. Have a good Sunday!! Pam I'm an ice baby. I couldn't stand the though even of putting heat on my flaming hot joints. My hands were so bad yesterday when we were at our favorite beach bar (sipping iced tea and listening to the music -- ah, sometimes the Caribbean is fine) I asked the bartender for a glass of ice. When just holding the glass didn't work fast enough, I stuck my hand right in and amongst the ice cubes. Ah, the relief was almost instanteous. Heat or ice: I suppose it is an individual thing -- and what makes you feel better. Good tips though for those that do better with heat, Pam. Hi Janis, I have always enjoyed heat and sit against a thermal heating pad while at work for my hip.....but sometimes I just gotta have the ice too. We keep water bottles in the freezer for our bunny's cages when it gets really hot. the other day I just held them in my hands and AHHHHHHH that felt great!!
Hope you are feeling good today!!
All Thumbs....no action. Thumbalina
might be mind over matter, but I think they help with the stiffness and
aches.
