Hi guys, had to go for my bone scan today but with the pain I woke up in all over, I really wanted to find a way out, but soldiered on as needed to know if my ribs were fractured or not!!??

Scootered on down for injection then had to go away for 3 hours so went for a nice coffee with MIL, then went to pick up a couple of things from shop including hiring my exercise bike, I am quite looking forward to it, but part of me knows I will have deep trouble with my knees, hips and back!

Anyway pain was getting worse so I was looking forward to lying down for the bone scan, boy that was a mistake, I was in agony trying to keep still.  The lady doing the scan said "do you have a sore neck?"  I said "yes really sore, but there isn't really much of me that isn't sore at present". anyway she said I can pick up my results on Monday but from what she could tell, the ribs were showing up as a warm spot along with the shoulders, but all other joints including my neck, wrists, knees and ankles were definite hot spots with a clear fracture still showing since Easter in my fourth metatarsal, I knew my foot hadn't healed!!!!

I called into my GP on the way home as with the weekend coming up, I felt I needed to get onto a new antiinflammatory, she gave me mobic.  Thank God for the receptionists as I was in so much pain when picking up the script, they called my GP out, she said she wanted me to go to the hospital but I really just wanted to go home, so she gave me a shot of Tramadol, and wouldn't let me scooter home, so they made me a lovely strong cup of tea and called me a cab AND loaned me the cabfare!!!!!  Unbelievable, I know I am very lucky and my GP said to call her on the mobile if I need her.  I wish I could nominate them for an award!  Thanks for listening guys, I guess I will know on Monday what to do about all this, still waiting for my Rheumy to call with RITUXIMAB details. Hugs Janie. XX Hi, I'm sorry you are hurting. What a wonderful story of true compassion from health providers. There are so many young people in the field now and they do care about us!. Thank you for letting us know about them. LyndaSorry you have been in so much pain, but what wonderful attention you got from your clinic.  Hope that things improve for you quickly.

It's nice to see someone compliment their physician and their staff.  So often I read people bashing them.

Glad you had a positive experience, and so sorry you are in such pain.

Janie what a great thing for your GP to do.  You dont find to often that they will go out of their way for patients.  Did the tramadol help at all for you?  Keep us updated on what the results of the bone scan come back with.  Oh and whats hiring a bike mean?

I'm so sorry you are hurting so much!

Thank you for posting such a beautiful story about the dr and the receptionist (are you sure there wasn't a good nurse in there too

I hope you feel better soon

Phats

Deb

Finally, a positive story about a physician and their staff.  I thought I was the only person who had a great doc and staff.  Thanks, Jane for letting us know about their kindness.  I hope the pain is subsiding with the shot of Tramadol.  Take it easy and don't pedal 100 miles the first time on the bike!!  LindyJanie, what a caring group of professionals you have helping you. You must have a kind and sweet spririt for others to want to go out of their way to help you. I hope you are feeling better soon. Love, JuliahThanks a lot guys, I forgot to mention that they had no Tramal on the premises and rather than sending me to hospital to wait in the ER for a couple of hours, my GP sent the receptionist to the nearest pharmacy with a prescription for Tramadol, I still think I am incredibly blessed!!

Hi Kelsaysmommy,  I have hired an exercise bike as my GP wants me to get some exercise, you hire the bike for per month, I got 3 months for 0 on special and if I end up wanting to buy it, they then deduct any rental I have already paid, great isn't it?

Thanks again guys, feeling a bit better today but only if I do nothing!!!!  Love always and big hugs to all my lovely friends on this board. Janie.
